Talbott P. Ottinger


Talbott P. Ottinger graduated Cum Laude from Millsaps College with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1996.

He attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University, from which he graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree in May, 1999.

Mr. Ottinger began his legal career in private practice in Baton Rouge in August, 1999 and practiced with a regional law firm until 2002. His professional practice has been concentrated in business transactions including business entity formation, commercial transactions, including the development, sale, purchase and leasing of commercial real estate, project finance, affordable housing and community development and other general business matters.

From 2002 through 2009, he was involved in the creation of several businesses, including a fast casual restaurant specializing in chicken and a real estate consulting and brokerage company which specialized in the preservation of affordable housing communities throughout the country. In 2005, in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Talbott partnered with several national developers to pursue the development of multifamily communities throughout South Louisiana and handled the due diligence for the properties, assisted in the applications for GO Zone financing and oversaw the acquisition of several of the properties for development.

In 2009, Talbott returned to the full time practice of law with a firm located in Lafayette, Louisiana, and was also admitted to practice law in Tennessee in 2012.
